Infants

Choosing the right daycare for your infant is a big decision, and we’re here to support you. At ECEC, our infant program is all about giving your child a great start, while also giving you peace of mind.
Here’s what makes our infant program special:
- Personalized Care – We create a personalized care plan for your baby, following their daily schedule and unique needs. We work with you to understand your child’s routines and preferences, ensuring they feel secure and loved.
- Comfort and Control – We want you to feel completely comfortable. You’re welcome to bring any food, diapers, or creams you prefer for your child—we’ll use what you provide.
- A Bright, Open Space – Our infant room is a welcoming and comfortable place for both babies and staff. A large wall of windows fills the room with natural light, and there’s plenty of open space for crawling and learning to walk. There’s even a soft climbing area where they can sit and look at books.
- Outdoor Adventures – Infants have their own private outdoor playground area, as well as access to the indoor Kid Zone climbing area. This gives them time to explore nature and develop their motor and sensory skills in a new environment.
- Safety and Standards – Our program is research-based and designed to support all of your child’s developmental milestones. We take safety seriously, meeting or exceeding all state, local, and NAEYC guidelines for cleanliness and security.

Toddlers
As your child transitions from a baby to a toddler, they’re taking huge developmental leaps. Our Toddler Preschool Program is designed to support your child during this exciting time of “firsts,” helping them learn to socialize with their peers and become a member of a group.
Here’s what makes our toddler program special:

Growing Independence – We focus on fostering your child‘s newfound independence, language, and social skills. They‘ll have opportunities to make choices and understand the outcomes of those decisions, all within a supportive and encouraging environment.

A Foundation for Learning – We believe that toddlers are just beginning their learning journey, and we encourage their independence and natural curiosity. We help them understand their emotions and how to deal with them. Our classrooms are print-rich, which helps encourage the development of their vocabulary and self-expression.

Special Programs – We enhance the daily curriculum with special weekly programs. A music specialist leads a wonderful music program. Plus, the Stamford Museum & Nature Center comes weekly with toddler-friendly live animals, offering a unique hands-on learning experience!

Play and Discovery – We have wonderful playgrounds designed specifically for 1-2 year olds and 3-5 year olds. We also have a water play area for fun in the sun. And when the weather isn’t cooperating, our indoor Kid Zone—a huge open space with climbing and play areas—provides plenty of room for active play.

Joyful Traditions – Our community celebrates a variety of multicultural holidays and traditions, creating a joyful environment where every child feels included.

Preschoolers
You want a program that not only prepares your child for kindergarten, but also celebrates their unique interests and growing independence. Our Preschool Program is designed to do just that.
Here’s what makes our preschool program special:
- A Foundation for Learning – Our curriculum is built around your child’s interests and observations, with hands-on activities that encourage problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making. Classrooms are set up with separate areas for science, math, art, writing, and dramatic play, modeling a kindergarten environment to help with the transition.
- Enrichment Programs – Days are filled with enriching activities, including art, music, nature walks, and science projects. We also have special weekly programs to enhance your child’s learning. A specialist comes weekly to teach them drumming, and an Occupational Therapist leads a session on Handwriting Without Tears. The Stamford Museum & Nature Center also visits weekly with live animals.
- Play and Discovery – We have wonderful playgrounds designed specifically for 3-5 year olds, as well as an indoor Kid Zone—a huge open space with climbing and play areas—providing plenty of room for active play, and honing their physical strength and coordination.
- Celebrating Traditions – We celebrate stories and traditions from around the world and during holidays, creating a joyful, multicultural welcoming community while expanding your child’s cultural awareness.
- Kindergarten Ready – We focus on building your child’s confidence and decision-making skills to ensure they are well-prepared for kindergarten. Our curriculum aligns with the Connecticut Documentation and Observations for Teaching System (DOTS).
