Infants

This program focuses on an individual approach to support your child’s daily schedule.

Teachers work together with parents to learn about each child. In our infant program, one-on-one interactions build nurturing relationships capturing everyday moments. This program provides opportunities for children to participate in activities supporting vocabulary, physical, and social-emotional development.

Our youngest infants are kept safe and cared for by our carefully chosen childcare professionals who ensure the highest level of tenderness and respect for your family’s routines and your child’s unique needs.

Our research-based program has been carefully designed to support all of your child’s developmental milestones.

Parents love it because…

Program highlights include:

  • Personalized care plans to support individuals’ daily schedules, and other unique needs
  • Sensory-rich spaces to explore, roll over, pull up, and crawl
  • Outdoor Discovery: Time outside to explore nature and inspire motor and sensory development in a new environment
  • Safety, security, and cleanliness practices that meet or exceed the exacting standards of all state, local, and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines

“The ECEC has been a lovely, nurturing environment for our family. The teachers are warm and supportive. Morah Kaci and Morah Mariia do a GREAT job at making educational, fun, and age-appropriate activities. Our kids love Temple Sinai so much that they get excited every time we drive past the building, shouting “THAT’S MY SCHOOL!”

Toddlers

This program is designed to help children become members of a group, learn to take directions from adults and to socialize with their peers.

In our toddler program, the children enjoy art, music, story time, science, outdoor play and creative movement. The children are encouraged to develop new skills and expand their vocabulary.

As your children make developmental leaps and build skills for the future we are right there with them to support this exciting time of “firsts.”

Preschoolers

This program focuses on the children’s growing interest in their surrounding environment and rapidly developing social skills.

The themes that are explored with hands-on activities are based on children’s interests and observations. They learn how to problem-solve, negotiate conflicts and make decisions. Days are filled with art, music, creative movement, nature walks and science projects; pre-reading and math skills are also introduced through fun and engaging activities. Other enrichment programs are organized throughout the year.

Preschool is a time for the celebration of the skills your child acquired and the cultivation of those they will need in the next chapters of kindergarten and beyond.

Parents love it because…

Program highlights include:

  • Our professional faculty do more than keep your child safe in a clean and secure environment, they encourage pre-reading, writing, listening, and speaking
  • Knowing your child’s specific strengths and interests. Our curriculum flexes to deliver skill-building activities in ways that will be most appropriate
  • The ECEC includes spaces and activities to hone kids’ physical strength and coordination as well as their creative expression through movement, visual art and musical enrichment
  • Students develop deeper understanding of and relationship to the stories of the Jewish tradition and holiday celebrations
  • Music and Cooking enrichment classes expand the cultural expressions of Jewish life and enhance the joy of being a part of a welcoming, inclusive and affirming community
  • Our focus on confidence-building and decision-making means that your student will be well-prepared for the environment of kindergarten in keeping with the Connecticut Documentation and Observations for Teaching System (DOTS)

“The teachers and director at ECEC go over and above to ensure our child receives love, care, and guidance each and every day. The curriculum encompasses a wide variety of activities and learning moments and exposes our little ones to the community. He’s so happy to show his parents all the art crafts and tell us stories of his daily adventures! Thank you to Phyllis and her phenomenal staff for their dedication to this program!”
